  1. We’re talking Anglican here. Teacups have roses on them, for Heaven’s sake.

    not all anglicans – ours are similar to willow pattern. But lots of churches of all flavours favour exactly that green. Better than disposable (and rarely recycled) ones.

    On teacups: basically it is either “beryl” (sludge green) or “iris” ( sludge blue). Anything else means you are a heretic, or a “fresh expression”, in which case all bets are off.
